I specialize in laboratory diagnosis and clinical microbiology. To obtain accurate clinical diagnoses, comprehensive scientific skills for interpretation of test data are required. Our aim is that students will obtain the basic knowledge needed to understand the interpretative principles of various kinds of tests and pathophysiological mechanisms showing abnormal values.
Clinical microbiology is the science of identifying contagia and their characteristics. It comprises the basis of infectious disease diagnosis, the importance of which is being recognized increasingly year by year. Along with the progress in scientific technology and its implementation, molecular diagnosis has come to be widely adopted. We will provide the latest information to students in our lectures and practice.
